2nd September 2007 - Father's Day and Margo's Mum's birthday, so David took me to Australia Zoo to feed the elephants, and so I did - see Bimbo at the end - that's the one I fell in love with, she is the smallest and born in 1959 - such a good year! She was really lovely and Margo lined up with the kids 8 times to feed her!!!! What a clever trunk she has and very gentle too! Of course Margo patted the echidna, the wallabies, the white kangaroo, the kid goats, the lambs and we both enjoyed "Crocoseum" with the bird show with macaws, kookaburra's, trained cormorants, and of course the the crocodiles!! Australia Zoo was very enjoyable and spreads out nicely so you don't feel crowded, definitely worth a visit if you are travelling that way, and of course don't forget to watch the TIGERS!
