13 Dec 07 Timber Creek NT - Margo made friends with two community girls who played footy with Tilda, showed Margo the crocs just there in that river just there..... we talked about school, watched the fire flies, had a chat about the folks fighting out the front, and carried on, they are both lovely girls. Its so pitch black at night at this van park, (they don't put any park lights on) that all you can see are the stars and fire flies. The community girls here told me the dogs roaming here are "cheeky"which means they can attack or kill the poodle. It's strange out here, we can get TV and internet, but no mobile phone coverage. It is not a dry community.




13 Dec 07 Timber Creek NT - one ginourmous empty caravan park - and you can see all of our friends here with us. No wonder, its very very very warm here, and the highway seems to have lots of people making lots of noise and banging and crashing lots of stuff. Hmmph. Also here, Margo's first ever sighting of a Boab Tree - isn't it a doozy - see how small the bus is........................the boab tree and Margo became very good friends, its a nice place to lean on and do yoga!!!!!




13 Dec 07 Victoria River Region - nice escarpments. Very very very hot. Lots of roadtrains.



13 Dec 07 Gregory National Park - Victoria River Region - NT. Yay, mountains, haven't seen any for ages, yay water, ditto. The Victoria River joins the Angalarri River to form the biggest waterway in the NT, in many places it becomes over 1km wide, the Vic (as we locals call it) is also full of big barra!!!!!!!




11 Dec 07 Humpty Doo NT - Jacob had his Graduation Dinner tonite, hence the family pic! Well done Jacob. 12 Dec 07 departed H'Doo (many tears) heading SE on the Stuart Hway (aka Nature's Way) through Pine Creek where Matilda the poodle met Matilda the community member!!!! More driving to Katherine, already been there, done that, slept the nite and hit the road. 13 Dec 07 depart Katherine heading SW on the Victoria Hway (aka Savannah Way) for pitstop at Victoria River Roadhouse - very quiet - (this is where we should have slept instead of Timber Creek).
