22 Jan 08 Broome - (below) our new home - wow, how lucky are we? Martin and Kim (Matso's Broome Brewery) have a staff house opposite their restaurant and some room in the back yard for a bus (and two other caravans already there). They very very kindly offered their back yard to us, together with the use of the downstairs laundry and bathroom. It is so lovely of Martin and Kim to offer this, it means we can look for work and see Broome the proper way - from a worker's point of view!!!! Yay!!!! No more Mr Bins and Mrs Moppit!!!! Accomodation here is at a premium, there just isn't enough available, especially if one has a fur-kid!!!! Fortunately there was a panelled fence we could temporarily remove and squeeze the bus through to the yard (with 100mm either side to spare), a little bit of gardening and it'll be great! We front onto Hammersly Street, town is just up the road, MacDonalds and Eagle Boys Pizza just up the road, the Saturday Markets, the lovely old Court House, the Prison and the solicitors offices just up the road, the high school half a block away and a lovely park across the street with frangipanni perfuming the air, and the Indian Ocean smelling sweet on our front street!!!!
