12 Feb 2008 - Broome - There is a rat in the bus and a broom (no pun intended), torch and mop are the only tools Margo could find to extract the creature - I won!!! Sorry rat!!!!!
If you look carefully at the beach pic, in the centre on the wave breaking point, you can see the disintergrating wrecks of what was once the Dutch "Flying Boats" in Roebuck Bay at low tide - the Japanese Navy Aircraft bombed them on 3rd March 1942 in the One Day war at Broome. Bit sludgey out there, will try to get a closer look one day - stay tuned!!!!! Have to wait for a negative tide - and they tell me its a tricky walk requiring a wheelbarrow full of beer to get there!!!!
