17 June 2008 - Fremantle - Maritime Museum - here's Cathie with this neat boat driving learning wheel - wind blows out of the brown square bit there, then you face the boat into the wind and have a go at sailing close haul by moving the wheel base slightly until it goes forward (or backward if you get it wrong). We both passed with flying colours - being super yachtswomen as we are ?????
17 June 2008 Fremantle - this one is for the boys......."Australia II" was the first non- American boat to win the AMERICA'S CUP in 1983. In 1987 the defence of that win was sailed in the waters off Fremantle. And here she is, bit hard to take pics of, but that be them, here they be........there you go boys......we did it for you....
