2nd August 2008 - and then it was all done, Dee hoiked up her gown and we all bussed back to Matso's for a few ales - boutique brewed ginger ales that is, and low and behold, margo ended up with the old wobbly boot!!!!!! It was a lovely wedding Mark and Dee - thank you - and may fair weather follow you all the days of your lives. xxxxxx
On board the pearl lugger "The Willie" and most impressively the sails were hoisted, the engines cut and we sailed along Cable beach, it was truly fantastic to be sailing........amazing what a calming feel the sea gives........David and I just seemed to mmmm I dunno, mmmmm, be. The ocean is where we should be.
And then of course, one sees horses trotting along the beach, surfers surfing the waves, and later camels of course !!!!!!
2nd August 2008 - Broome - Cable Beach - Dee and Mark's wedding. The bride and groom said their vows, did the deed, and then they poured pindan from one champagne flute and white sand from another champagne flute into one jar - a ceremony to join the young couple together. Then Dee announced a surprise, everyone was to hop on this white bus which had driven along the white sand to pick us all up and drive us along the beach, down a pindan road and deliver us to another beach to be collected in dinghy's and ferried out to the Willie - a lovely old pearl lugger....wow, what a beautiful wedding. That darn old white bus on the beach had margo stumped though - the driver/skipper was very nice and he drove that thing like there was no tomorrow !!!!!!
2nd August 2008 - Broome - Cable Beach - margo's workmate Dee is marrying Mark today, and at 9:00 am 30 of us headed down to Cable Beach to watch them tie the knot, it was really very beautiful, and Dee's Mum walked Dee down the steps to the waiting arms of Mark to make their vows, it was very moving. The day was glorious, and as usual, DB was once again surrounded by a bevvy of beauties - how does he do that??
