19 Oct 08 Cygnet Bay - here are Tilly's farm mates, Ellie on the left is a collie, and Patch on the right is um ....um..... a great dog with lots of character, but he can't run very far or fast..... they all seem to have fun together !

Yay, David is finally allowed to take margo and Tilda out on a boat (only took 8 months!) and it was wonderful to be on the water - not to say several degrees cooler than on land ! So the pic in the middle below shows just how close DB's little beach-house is to the water and his shed.....

Then he took us out and about for a look-see, so we went out to the "Western Spat Farm" and David had to fix one of the shell cleaning boats out there, and margo could watch the work happening up close and personal - here you see Yoko scraping clean the floats as they are winched up alongside the boat, then Hero grabs the panel and puts it on the cleaning machine for the conveyor belt to carry it through a heavy duty spray of sea water, then, Mark the skipper and Yoko scrape the shell with a paint scraper looking thingy, then, they drop it back onto the long lines and into the water for a fortnight until it all starts again !!!!

Here is "Eagle Rock" - three guesses why.
Below is "Paspaley 3" I think she is a 100 footer, but I do know she is beautiful with engine rooms you could have a dinner party in !!!! "Pas 3" brought the last quota of wild shell up to Cyggy Bay, today is an historical event, from here on in Cyggy Bay will be collecting their own quota of wild shell....

Back on land dont you love the father - daughter look, Tilly just loves helping DB at work, much more fun than a barristers office with margo!!

mmmmmm grubby pindan lookin' dog.

yummmm - fresh mudcrab, still kicking - David had a bit of trouble cooking them though, the only cooking pot we have had a hole in it, so as he was stirring in the top of the pot, it was leaking out from the bottom onto the gas burners on the stovetop - bit of a trick - but he got there - and yummmmmmmm ............

This is the current construction site on the farm, it has been nick-named "Kelvinator" - it is two staff accomodation rooms with a bathroom in the middle, and it is made of like signwhite stuff sandwiching foam. It's a very lightweight insulated product to build with ....... watch this space for the finished product!
