21 Dec 08 Caloundra - David's cousins and sister came to Mum's for lunch - L-R - Top Row: Jimmy (aka Buddy), Lorrie, Sue, Troy, DB and poodle; L-R Bottom Row: Richard, Mum, Margo and Liz. We had a lovely time laughing out loud with nice people.......

19 Dec 08 Little Mountain - we went to Sue's house (not far from Mum's) and met her baby - the foal that is - and we think his name so far is either Monty or Shadow, as you can see, her house is lovely. We also met "Old Pete" or "Old Mate" for the first time - he has lived down the back of Sue's since she bought the property and he gives her a hand with the horses - their names are Kia, Wez, Shadow, Crisp, and um, um . And that is Kokomo in the pic with "Old Mate/Pete", and of course we can't forget the cat Kahlua.

19 Dec 08 - Caloundra - we arrived at Mums 14 hours after we left Broome - wo - what a trip......Sue brought Mum home to us as Mum had been staying at Sue's since the gall bladder removal operation, an infection, and pnemonia. But after a few days of attentive recuperation at Sue's, Mum was able to come back to her home and off to the shops almost immediately.......she looks very well, but is not fully recovered yet......she is showing a very brave face.

17 Dec 08 Perth - Kings Park - oh my what a stunning park, perched on a hill overlooking the Swan River - we were lucky enough to find a taxi driver who let the poodle in so we could leave Perth Airport and travel to Kings Park with 3 hours to kill - it was fabulous - here's some of its glory:

The Wittenoom Floral Clock built in

1962 with its bird calling chime of

the Rufous Whistler every half hour.

Kangaroo Paw

And then after all that frolicking around the Kings Park, poodle goes back into the cage and we are off to Brisbane to Mums.

17 Dec 2008 - Broome to Caloundra - and here sits the poodle waiting for her plane ride INSIDE Broome International Airport with us - as a poodle does of course !!!! But then it is CAGE time ..........ooooh that was not so good - but she put on a brave face and soldiered on - whatagirl......

14 Dec 08 Broome - Christmas Carols at Cable Beach - and it was so beautiful, with a georgeous sunset, a light breeze coming in from the Indian Ocean, people by the hundreds, a spectacular stage and show, lovely lovely friends - Jamie, Lou and Isla, Jannah, Justine and baby Zoe, Terese and puppy Harry .......... Santa arrived in his sleigh with bright orange blow up reindeers, and he is the first indigenous Santa I have ever seen, AND he hobbled on his wooden leg !!!!!! It just would have been perfect if David was home from Cygnet Bay.
