3 Jan 09 - Caloundra to Burpengary to the Gold Coast (422 km ish) What a great day - David drove margo and Tilda in Daphne's little suzuki to Burpengary to meet a lovely very special friend of Dad's - Loyce - and her daughter Glenys. Loyce baked us a yummy apple slice, pikelets with cream and jam, and cheesie mini shortbreads. She served it all up on a beautiful hand embroidered linen tablecloth with a "proper" fine china tea service and we all laughed out loud in her georgeous cosy kitchen and had a happy time.
And then Loyce showed us around where she lives ........ we had a dance under the Christmas b
aubles in the great hall........ and then sadly it was tim
e to leave......... so we hit the Gold Coast Motorway (6 lanes wide on both sides - wo ) and headed thru the rain whilst passing several car crashes - to visit Mark and Jo and Rhys (and Gerrard not home) at the Gold Coast in their new very very posh and huge new home - the "Allis Palace".............
