19 Apr 09 - Cygnet Bay - One Arm Point (aka Bardi) - Federal Member of Parliament Minister Jenny Macklin (and her onterage) have come to One Arm. Keith - The boss man of the "Community" invited margo to lunch/and or morning tea with the Minister......... of course, it would have been impolite to decline.....so daaarlings, off I went. Minister Macklin played at the childcare centre and promised $190,000.00, she then toured the hatchery and the Rangers shed and um dunno what else. We dutifully waited for her return, however, she perhaps didn't feel like eating pink, yellow and chocolate lamingtons with tea with us, and didn't seem to return ------ perhaps she chose another location for her refreshments! So after all that excitement, back to the farm and um, nothing.
