4 Jul 09 - Seeding Shed at Lugger's Cove Cygnet Bay - below in the brown singlet is Anna - and today is her first trial run of her touring and commentary of Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. Very fortunately for margo, I was her first unofficial Tourist, and Mr Bruce Brown (pictured with white hat) came along too - he did the commentary for Anna today and it was really fascinating to learn so much about his farm - thanks guys. So, Anna's tour went like this: We had an intro in the Wreck Room, then a drive in the troopy over to the Seeding Shed, then up over the sand hills to Shenton Bluff and to see the headstone of the farm's founder (in 1946) - Mr Dean Brown (father of Bruce). Then we scrambled on foot up another sand hill to see the ancient and decaying grave sites of the divers of old - ranging from Japanese to Malay to Chinese and Kopangers - they died the hard way. Then we bumped our way back to the farm and at this time the paying tourists will get a cuppa at the Mess and head up to Mr & Mrs Brown's house for a viewing of pearls for sale with Sarah there to sell.
