10 - 14 Jul 07 - Cygnet Bay & Broome - Below left is Unja & his son Zaden at One Arm Point (aka Bardi), and (aka Ardyaloon). Unja is a good mate who works at the farm and was born & bred here on the Dampier Peninsular. Below right is my lovely friend Virginia with her son visiting from Perth. Top left is young Hayley - a WWOOFER who has been engaged to do paintings for the walls on the new tourist accomodation over at Diver's at the farm. She has invited us to stay at her winery in SA called Tahblik - have to look her up when we get that way! And top right is a farewell dinner for David and I - our lovely friends the gay builders John & John cooked up a storm for us - John Mechanic is also in for a feed, and Mike in his wheelchair - he is a 4th year Pearl Technician Apprentice - (it is a 6 year apprenticeship), Mike is a bit of a legend, he lives in Perth and sails his 26foot yacht by himself to Timor to deliver free wheelchairs to the kids there - lovely man.
