31 December 2009 Broome. We walked up town to the Roey to listen to the Pigram Brothers playing with Anna & Travis. It was such a hot night, but the pub had those water spraying fans on, so it was great to get misted and of course drippy all over, but lots of dancing and fun, the Roey is a great venue for all genres of folk to gather and celebrate. Fab night. Happy New Year David............yay for us!
Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Justine's birthday 2009 in Broome. Our family Christmas first on NKA, then down the driveway, along the footpath and next door to share the morning with Justine, bub-to-be, Laney & Zoe. Then over to the lovely Virginia's & Pete's for a spectacular lunch with them, Jo & Lionel, Tricia & Colin and then Janet joining us late. Then Christmas afternoon with Anna & Travis at the bus, Boxing Day with Alex & Jenny watching Shaun in the Sydney to Hobart on TV at the "Pearl Apartments", and then back to 'NKA' with Janet, Justine & Zoe for dinner, and Justine's birthday at "Pinctada Resort", all in all a lovely few days with great people at some pretty great locations. Oh, and of course, my favourite movie played on tele as well................"South Pacific" starring ME, MYSELF and I, Jack Thompson, Harry Connick Jnr and Glenn Close ...............great movie, I highly recommend it?!?
