Oct 2009 Cygnet Bay to Strickland Bay. DB took me to Strickland Bay on the MV Dorado towing the Raff cleaning boat with Cam driving the dive dinghy. It is a 4 hour steam. We motored out of King Sound past Sunday Island , then through Mermaid Pass into the Buccaneer Archipelago. We navigated between huge whirlpools 10 mt wide, and then skirted around tidal waterfalls 1 metre high that look like steps and stairs in the ocean, what an amazing ocean it is. We have the 4th highest tides in the world at 10.8 mt here together with a wide continental shelf making the waters so powerfully treacherous. The crew repanelled the spat, had a quick fish over at "The Graveyard" and we steamed back home. An incredible look at one tiny part of this huge wonderful county of ours..........thankyou David.....(PS Tilda loved it too!)
