14 Feb 2011 - D Day - and unbelievable but true, we set a departure date for 14 Feb and we actually succeeded in emptying our little tin shack, packing it all up and into the Landcruiser and saying (or for Margo crying) our fond farewells temporarily until May when we bring "Escapade" back. A last inspection of the little house, and the hardest farewell of all, Ellie girl - faithful as ever, standing at the end of our footpath, she knowing we leaving, and she will probably wait ages for us to come back - be well Ellie girl - see you in May. And then, the most amazing goodbye from James - he bought us a coffee at the Mantle Cafe and gave me the strand of pearls I tried to purchase from him for the last 6 months or so, what a beautiful and very special present, and a lovely card for David & I wishing us well for our holiday from Bruce, Alison, James, Sarah & Anna .......thank you guys, oh my word it has been a most amazing 3 years for me, learning, loving, learning and growing, you all allowed me to be a tiny part of your world ..... thank you, now and always, but more than you guys, I have the most amazing, astounding, wonderful husband - he did it all, he did it all.............thank you David xxxx
13 Feb 2011 - our last evening in Cygnet Bay until May when we come back delivering the catamaran "Escapade" from Fremantle......... we squeezed a few folk into our little tin shack for a very impromptu farewell party, it was lovely that so many people came by to wish us well .......... thank you my Cyggy Bay family .......
7th Feb 2011 - The Grand Opening - or rather the soft opening of the Cygnet Bay Farm town store - James and Jacko, Sarah, Trudy and Ty from Jewels of the Kimberley were all there, they were in fact still bringing the furniture in and assembling it all too. There was a cruise ship due into town today so a sort of opening happened ........... another part of the Brown Empire begins !
