26 Sept 2011 exit Katherine's Springvale Homestead, and oh it was just lovely, I fed all the animals as they roamed the park free. The little tortoises would eat from my hand, I caught a duckling, fed the ducks and the ducklings, fed the guinea fowls and collected their lovely spotted feathers for my Melbourne Cup fascinator, hand fed the wallabies, watched the bright blue kookaburra's and paddled in the swimming pool of hot springs at a lovely 22 degrees, and had the best time. Tilda was so good with all the wildlife, even when the ducks slept under the bus! I also tried a black tea recipe to put in my hair to keep the greys at bay - you can be the judge of that when you see me next. DB took me to a really neat little Rock Shop and bought me 3 tiger eyes,  the man there was a right proper grump but that's ok. We met some really cool people, Jacki and Mick next door in a caravan and they cooked roast lamb for us, super yum ....... fun people we will definitely keep in touch with them! :) We just passed a four trailer truck loaded with fuel - yeek. 34 degrees at 10:15 am.   Oooh a willy willy of leaves. Smokey sky, burnt black country side and no clouds.
