02 Dec 07 Kakadu National Park. The pics tell the story. We headed east from Humpty Doo for a day trip in the little car, (Tilda stayed back at the farm at H'Doo). We travelled 219km east to Jabiru along the Arnhem Highway, right to the eastern border of Kakadu and Arnemland. Kakadu is a vast, hot, green, savannah land, with gum trees, cockatoos, jacanas, bower birds, crocodiles, black wallaroos, wallabies, kangaroos, barramundi, lotus lillies, magpie geese, pandanus palm forests, pine trees, billabongs, floodplains and grasslands, sandstone escarpments, and waterfalls - it's a very special place. If you double click on the photo of the South Alligator River (the one without DB in it), you will see the head of a ginourmous croc, David saw all of him and he was 4mt or so. Wo. What a doozy. We stopped in at the Aurora Kakadu Resort for a coffee and headed back to Humpty Doo.
