The striking pindan rockface has eroded into layered and colourful shapes, lapping the stark white sands and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, with king tides of up to 11 metres. David caught a trevally yesterday whilst sitting in that hole in the rock - the tide comes up to that level.

The bronze statue in mainstreet Chinatown of Broome is that of a Japanese hard hat pearl diver. It is 30 years or more since that type of diving has been done. Chinatown is on the eastern coast of the Dampier Peninsula.
