03 Mar 2008 - Broome - tears and more tears, - David is off north to the last frontier land for 10 days with Jacko as escort/driver to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm for work. It is very remote up there, near Cape Leveque - 211 km north of Broome on pindan road. There is no air-conditioning, no hot water, no dishwashers, no glass on windows, no anythings - its a bit primitive - generators for power - and buildings made from hessian bags filled with sand - so we shall see!!!! Tilly and Margo staying in the 5 star comfort of NKA in Broome with our air-con, tv, toilet, etc, etc and David will be back after 10 days for his 4 day off swing.
24 Feb 2008 - These guys are Margo's very good new friends, they (or rather he) carved me another boab nut - it is a bird, or a mouse, or a rat - anyway - it is very cute, and my new friends here met me outside the Roey (Roebuck) Hotel at the TAB to do the deal!!!!!! Like I said, there is a lot to learn here in the Kimberley!!!
