03 Mar 2008 - Cygnet Bay - This is David's new home at Cygnet Bay. Opposite the caravan here is two single bedrooms, David's single bedded room is on the left at the back of the photo, the breezeway in the middle is the kitchen, on the right, just this end of the caravan is a solar shower and toilet all built from sand bags. You can see inside David's room here on the right, with it's sandbag walls (these are very upmarket sandbag walls, these ones are painted). He has a single bed, three chairs, opening louvres, two fans and a bookshelf thingy for his clothes. This was David's single man quarters for two swings - 10 days on, 4 days off x 2. Daniel is a skipper and he lives in the other single bedroom, George lives in the caravan. George also has acquired a bathtub from unknown sources (an extremely rare species in this neck of the woods) and it is pink and is plumbed in outside in the breezeway with a mosquito net over it, they have solar water here and in summer if you fill up the bathtub at 5:00 am then the water is cool. But if you wait till the sun comes up, all of a sudden you have a luke warm or even hot water bath - in summer that's not so good, but in the middle of winter on a nice 30 degree day, and the nights drop to 9.2 degrees then that solar heated hot bath is a beauty mate. And - George has granted Margo special priveleges to use the bath while he is away or at work!!!!!!
