17 June 2008 - Perth - off we go, Cathie and Margo boots and all for a one day tour of Perth and Fremantle all in one hit!!!! Breakfast at Medina first - yum, then past the glass spire of the "Swan Bells Belltower" located where Perth meets the Swan River. It is one of the largest musical instruments on earth - custom built to house the bells of St Martin, (ie., the parish church of Buckingham Palace in Trafalgar Square, London). It is the only place in the world (so the brochures say) where you can view bellringing in action and have a go yourself.......,.and as David and I are expert bell people (ie the 1898 lovely old bell we gave to St Mary's by the Sea in Port Douglas), I feel it is imperative we head back to Perth together and have a bell ringing lesson!!!!

17 June 2008 - Perth If you double click on the right hand pic, you can see a swanky (get it - swan-ky) looking restaurant, and, unfortunately that was the only swan Margo saw in my whole one day tour of Perth - rats - maybe next time.....
