13 Sep 08 - Broome - yum yum David was able to get 500g of pearl meat for us to try for the first time .......... he cooked a beautiful meal (as usual) and the pearl meat was lovely, very special stuff - I believe it is $120.00 per kilo ........... so, it comes out of the mother of pearl shell this shape you see on the plate, we watched the fellas at the seeding shed in Cygnet Bay just cut the piece away, and on the spot there we tasted it raw, fresh out of the ocean, and I tell you, margo is not particularly a fan of raw stuff, but this was really lovely, very mild, but unusual with texture a bit like scallop meat. mmm - yum - I could live on mango, avocado, pearl meat, bug meat, chocolate and pink champagne !!!!!!!!!!!!!
