4 Nov 08 Broome - Melbourne Cup Lunch - yay, Tricia, margo, Virginia, Helen and Lyn had a frocks and hats day out at the ZeeBar at Cable Beach drinking french champagne, watching the fashion parade and watching that awesome finish for the Melbourne Cup - it was great, Bart Cummings won his 12th Melbourne Cup with the magnificent steed Viewed ridden by Blake Shinn with no more than an eyelash first at the winning post - it was wonderful to see the Aussie horse win our Cup. If you look carefully at margo's hat you will see the feathers of the female red tailed black cockatoo sticking out the top there (they are black and yellowish, brownish striped)!!!!!!Check out the mulberry bush in our back yard - yum - more free tucker !!!!!
3 Nov 08 Broome - Monica and Oonjoong (Paul) love that white poodle. See the lizard, in Broome he is called a ta ta lizard, and at Derby he is a G'day lizard, either way, he waves a front leg at you just before scurrying away at a zillion miles an hour.
