23 May 2010 - Broome: Australia's very first Beach Polo at Cable Beach sponspored by Marilynne Paspaley. It was held on Cable Beach under a huge white marquee. Of course Mumm Champagne was served together with seafood and assorted canapes. The waiters were dressed in their best black and whites and all the guests wore all their pearls. The tickets for this exclusive affair were $250.00 per person. David delivered me, but did not want to go into the marquee, so I went along for the party with Anna & Johnno but unfortunately I had not purchased a ticket. It was a fab function and I loved all the free Mumm and tucker. Luckily I also had a spare pink frock to wear and my pearls of course. And even more luckier, as soon as I got through the entrance gate past Security (by attaching myself to an unknown mate of Johnno's) I headed for the far end of the marquee and blow me down, there sits Virginia and Pete in the exclusive cordonned off lounge area for the guests, and right up front, nice and close and personal with the best views of the Polo.
