Nov 2010 - and here comes the wet season, and oh how grand it is - storms, lightning, thunder, rain, stinking hot days with high humidity and hot, very hot............. sweat constantly dripping 24/7 and the ceiling fans on flat out! It is however a wonderful time of year, red pindan rivers flowing through the farm, water spouts on the bay, green frogs deafening you, together with rain pounding on the tin roof - all types of snakes slither around and the Poinciana (aka Flamboyant)and Frangipani trees perfume the air and light up the bush with their bright red flowers, lots of birds seem to appear - ah it is lovely, and definitely a good reason to do the wet season in the Kimberley! And of course my big boy Max (the bull) is very happy with all the green stuff happening around him, and that same stuff is making his new wives also be very content! The Sausage tree in bloom with sausages dangling strangely from the tree and it's purple almost black flower blooming for one night only. So many things happen in the wet, constantly changing growing and inspiring.
